Centro Interdipartimentale "Molecular Systems Biology"

The objective of this Center is to promote and develop resercah activity in the field of complex systems in biology and biomedicine, with a special focus to the molecular level. Research and formazione in the field of Systems Biology require a strongly integrated interdisciplinary approach at both the theoretical and practical level, involving mathematics, computer science, theoretical physics, molecular biology and molecular medicine.

The principal fields of study of the Center embrace genomics, functional genomics, macromolecular structures, complex macromolecular interactions, cellular signaling networks, cellular morpho-functional analysis.

The mission of the Center is to promote interaction and integration of various competencies in order to realize interdisciplinary programmes in formation and research in the field of post-genomic biology and Systems Biology.
