Data retention policy :	INFORMATION PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 13 of Italian Legislative Decree 193/2003 Personal data provided in order to register on the University Portal shall be acquired by Turin University as the Data Controller. Providing data is vital to allow access to the services offered by the University as well as to make it possible to enrol on courses later. The data is processed electronically. Following registration, if the interested party decides not to use the services offered by the University, the personal data acquired shall be kept for a maximum of 12 months, a period which coincides with the validity period of the provisional access credentials provided at the end of the preliminary registration phase. The rights provided by article 7 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 can be exercised with regard to the data provided during the registration phase by sending a request by email to the Director of the University Portal at: sewi@unito.it - with the subject: Privacy rights. Following registration, if the interested party wishes to proceed with enrolment, the data provided will be processed in order to carry out institutional activities, within the limits established by the regulations and in accordance with the general principles of transparency, accuracy and confidentiality. Following enrolment, permanent credentials will be assigned and these will allow access to all internal and external services (the latter provided by third parties working in conjunction with the University); in addition, during this phase, further information will be provided about how data is processed to manage the student's university career. Please note that your username and password to access the online services must be kept confidential and secure and never shared with anyone or given to other users, even in different moments. The University acquires all the data (for example, email address provided in order to send the access credentials, land line/mobile phone number, etc.) by the interested party explicitly and voluntarily sending it all. This data will be used to respond to requests sent by the interested party and to manage the registration phase as well as, if the interested party decides to enrol, the future university career of the student in the context of the University's specific institutional purposes, as provided in article 1 of the University Regulations on personal data processing, no. 146 of 2006. The processing of the data acquired will be marked by the principles of accuracy, lawfulness and transparency in accordance with the regulations on confidentiality as indicated in Italian Legislative Decree 196/03.
