All information concerning the annual competition are published on the Gazzetta Ufficiale of the Italian Republic as well as on our web site under the "PhD competition" section. International students are subject to special conditions for enrolment and should therefore contact the office or visit the specific pages on our web site. All required materials must be sent to:

Upon confirmation of enrolment - After the competition
Before the competitive examinations, the Teaching Committee will draw up a merit ranking based on the evaluation of materials presented by each student. This ranking will be published on the University website.
Students admitted to attend the first year of the doctoral programme must send or provide directly to the office the material listed below within a DEADLINE OF 5 DAYS AFTER THE PUBLICATION OF RESULTS ON THE WEBSITE.
For students granted a scholarship:
After enrolment candidates must visit the Ufficio Borse di Studio in Via Verdi 8 (Monday to Friday: 9-11 am, Tuesady and Thursday: 9-11 am and 2-3.30 pm) in order to complete their compulsory registration to the INPS - Italian National Institution for Social Security (guidelines and application form A1 available in the "DOCUMENTS" section in the right of this page).
For students without scholarship:
PLEASE NOTE: 2012 tuition fee has been redefined and set to 125,00 €. The total amount has therefore changed from 136,62 € (as currently indicated in the call for applicants) to 151,62 €.
The successful candidate who does not send the materials mentioned above within 5 days from on line acceptance, will forfeit the right to enrol and to the award of the scholarship.
Should candidates have serious problems in sending the enrolment documentation, they are kindly invited to contact the office straight away.
(*) A tax code is required by the Italian government in order to open a bank account in Italy. It is issued by the following office upon presentation of an identification document:
