He actively contributed to the development of language systems and resources for training and evaluating systems that address these tasks in a multilingual perspective (Italian, English, Spanish, Catalan, French, Italian of learner speakers) and considering different types of text (legal prose, journalism, social media, ...), building benchmarks for the international community, publishing articles in journals, conferences and workshops.

He has been involved in various projects and has also served as principal investigator, he is a member of the editorial board of journals such as Information Processing and Management and Italian Journal of Computational Linguistics, member of the directive board of the Interuniversity Research Centre on Socio-ecological Changes and Transition to Sustainability (CRISIS), of the scientific committee of the Centre for Language Logic and Cognition (LLC), founding member of the Italian Association of Computational Linguistics - AILC and currently a member of its guarranty committee.
