My research falls under the umbrella of evolutionary zoology, with a focus on bioacoustics, vocal anatomy, and the evolution of vocal complexity. Within this framework, I have been studying acoustic communication in primates, livestock, marine mammals, and penguins. My current research assists in developing passive acoustic census methods for the remote monitoring of marine fauna. I am also involved in several PhD and post-doc projects in comparative cognition of marine vertebrates.
